How to get the new Google Bar?

Google is changing its new look and feel for each of its services. Most of the services has already seen changes in its GUI i.e. Graphic User Interface or in the simple terms the look and feel of the websites. Recently Google rolled out the news of changing its Google Bar. The Upper bar in black which you see in your search page or in the Gmail and the other Google services. YouTube too got a complete look over few days back.

The news for the new look of Google bar was rolled out in their Official Google Blog. Still the new look of Google Bar has still not live on to their page. But you can view it before your friends with just a simple tricks. 

How to get the new Google bar?

Step 1:- Open

Step 2:-  Press Ctrl+shift+j (for chrome Users) or Ctrl+shift+k (For Mozilla users).

Step 3:-  Type this in the Console area. OR just copy-paste it.

NOTE:- Please look into the Code before pasting it. Change the domain settings. instead of, change in to your country domain. For eg. if you use Google India Page change domain from "" to "" (Without the qoutes) . Apply the corrections as per your country domain.

Step 5:- Just hit Enter. 

And that's it.You are done. You will get the new look of the all new Google bar before hand and before your friends too.

  1. It doesn't work.

  2. If you copy and paste it, you have to make sure to get rid of the first two enters. Then it will work.

  3. Yes you have to remove the two enters. the width of the post creates the problem.

  4. It's okay, I guess. I like how Google's trying to make their services work together better. My only gripe is that the floating list of apps that pops up when you hover over the Google logo covers up a good chunk of the page and takes waaaay too long to fade away. Hopefully they'll fine-tune the timing before they release it to the public.

  5. yes what you said is true..but after they go live with the new bar, they will surely work on suggestions and will try to improve themselves

  6. Hey, just want to say thanks for being apparently the only sane one out there that doesn't suggest installing an addon just to change a cookie.
